Naples, FL – November 2014
Advanced Software Products Group (ASPG) has released version 1.4.3 of CryptoMon, its mainframe software specifically designed to display valuable information which may be missing or unreported (errors, keys or digital certificates set to expire, etc.) CryptoMon is the ideal product for enterprise data centers that make an everyday use of cryptography and want to know what happens under the cover. Not only does it provide the end users of z/OS cryptography with a comprehensive tool for readily monitoring their cryptographic system, but it also enables end users to invoke crypto services to accomplish some specific housekeeping tasks.
As a non-invasive mainframe product, CryptoMon is also quite easy to install and implement. The first real world use of the product is a matter of hours since its ISPF interface is very straightforward. With the release of v1.4.3, CryptoMon now supports the latest versions of ICSF, along with the new KDSR format for key datasets. There are also notable changes in multiple status panels, as well as support for CEX4C.
CryptoMon also provides CFB (cipher feedback) encryption support, support for new digital signature services, and the display of cryptographic status when z/OS is running in a VM virtual machine. Other features include the ability to see incorrectly protected cryptographic keys, certificates that will soon be expiring, and other security-related events that otherwise go unreported in ICSF.
Interested parties may read more about CryptoMon and ICSF monitoring on the ASPG website. Free trials of their enterprise software are also available.
