Advanced Software Products Group’s (ASPG) latest announced enhancements to MegaCryption simultaneously offer increased protection and increased ease of use to creators and consumers of Big Data. The enhancements include increased centralization of cryptographic key portability and interoperability, as well as increased support for both hashing and symmetric algorithms.
The enhanced key centralization is important functionality for the kinds of large-scale, enterprise-grade systems on which Big Data is stored and accessed. Such systems very frequently have various and multiple systems running concurrently, each of which require their own cryptographic key. The latest MegaCryption release facilitates management of these large-scale systems by providing enhanced key centralization and management. This enhanced centralization in turn provides for increased system and management efficiency, which is essential at the scale at which Big Data operates.
According to Tom Andrews, Vice President of Technology for ASPG, the new enhancements are part of a long history of making MegaCryption the cryptographic business server of choice for many large-scale operations and governmental agencies.
