Naples, FL—November 2013
Advanced Software Products Group’s (ASPG) latest announced enhancements to MegaCryption feature cryptographic key centralization and position the encryption software as business and cryptography server of choice for many enterprise-grade businesses.
The latest MegaCryption release, with its focus on centralizing key portability and reusability between many different key management systems, is designed to better enable businesses to simultaneously protect their current investments in cryptography while at the same time using MegaCryption’s cryptographic server capabilities to better ward against costly internal and external data breaches. The new enhancements are achieved through increased support for both hashing and symmetric algorithms, along with increased support for many existing and legacy systems that users might already have installed.
According to Tom Andrews, ASPG’s Vice President of Technology, the new enhancements allow companies to make the jump from older business server software to the more modern MegaCryption with very little or no disruption in service, as well as enjoy the benefits accruing to software that’s always being enhanced. “Cryptography servers are key elements in any enterprise information architecture,” said Andrews. “And running MegaCryption lets our enterprise customers stay with what’s familiar through our interop technology and at the same time run a best-in-class cryptography server that’s constantly enhanced and supported directly by ASPG, its OEM, instead of third parties who may or may not have an in-depth knowledge of the software. There’s a certain level of confidence our clients have in MegaCryption and in ASPG just from knowing that not only do we stand behind our own product, we also lead the way in making it constantly better.”
Aside from the improved cryptography algorithm support and enhanced interoperability with other key management systems, MegaCryption also features a robust API for users to write their own subroutines; the direct implementation of cryptographic functions into databases, online transactions, applications and batch programs; the creation of self-decrypting archives for Windows users; VSAM and flat-file encryption; DB2 field-level encryption; and many other tools designed to meet all of an enterprise’s cryptography needs.
“Whether you’re talking about data at rest or in motion, MegaCryption has your cryptography server needs covered,” concluded Andrews. “Every day the MegaCryption core team is here making it stronger and more flexible – which translates directly into a more power cryptographic solution. And we’re proud of that.”
