Naples, Florida-based Advanced Software Products Group (ASPG) has announced its new membership in The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce as well as a new membership in, and sponsorship of, the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership (SWFRTP).
According to ASPG President and CEO Cathryn Thompson, the new partnerships with the groups, both local to ASPG corporate headquarters, are just another reflection of ASPG’s close ties to its community. “ASPG has long been active in the local community in many ways, from health initiatives in the school system to need-based donations to shelters to Make-A-Wish involvement,” said Thompson. “We see our SWFRTP and Chamber partnerships as growing our involvement in another important area – the tech and business communities here in Southwest Florida.”
SWFRTP is a partnership of tech companies that have joined together to grow the technology sector of the Southwest Florida economy through educational involvement, partnerships with area universities, and other events and opportunities. It’s a mission that’s completely in line with ASPG’s core principles, said Thompson. “We felt that what the SWFRTP is doing is so important that we ultimately decided to support them not just by joining, but also by helping to underwrite them through the sponsorship. As technology continues to advance, growing the tech sector will become more and more important – and a vibrant group like this is well-positioned to aid in that cause.”
And since tech sectors can never operate alone in an economy, joining the Greater Naples Chamber to likewise boost the rest of the local business community also made sense to Thompson. “The Chamber’s primary goals of advancing business and regional economic development are important to the overall health of Southwest Florida. ASPG’s membership in the Chamber is aimed at aiding them in achieving those goals,” said Thompson. “It just makes sense.”
