NAPLES, FL – Advanced Software Products Group (ASPG, Inc.) has released v5.2 of ReACT, the password reset and synchronization tool designed to work for the full enterprise. As with previous releases, ReACT is designed to increase corporate security controls, reduce password-related calls coming into an organization’s help desk, and provide end-users with full access to their own accounts.
Extensive UX additions have also been added. A point and click resource editor allows administrators to quickly and easily change wording within the self-service portal, further refining ReACT’s capacity to be fully customized for any environment. The addition of new panels within the Administration Portal also includes an auditing panel, which provides users with an overview of all actions performed within the ReACT Administration Portal. A mobile application design panel allows administrators to customize the ReACT mobile app to best suit their end-users. Site administrators can also define supported SMS gateways through the newly added SMS configuration panel.
To keep up with robust security requirements, additional authentication options have been added to ReACT’s extensive security features. In v5.2, end-users now have further options to authenticate themselves including Google Login, OTP link, and TOTP. These options can be leveraged as a single factor or 2FA approach depending on the environment.
Additional developments to ReACT v5.2 include delegations and permissions. With delegations, administrators can control access to an individual portal whether in the administration or help desk portal area. Utilizing permission features, users can define these choices further. This allows users to control what individual task or action they can perform within the portal that they were assigned access to, aiding further versatility within the tool.
A new intuitive design of the Help Desk Portal, along with new features, provides a seamless user experience. This Help Desk Portal also provides a full breakdown of user activity through a more verbose dashboard, as well as a reporting console that enables users to generate and export a variety of activity reports.
Additions to v5.2 also include useful accessibility options for end-users thanks to further updates of Offline Access Recovery (OAR) and the ReACT mobile application. Both of these options provide on-the-go access to end-users who may face account lockouts outside of the office. Considering the rapidly changing world of work, both of these outlets give end-users flexible, convenient access to user accounts on-the-go. Updates to the OAR component of ReACT include user profile maintenance, which alleviates the need for end-users to provide a password, which further streamlines the ease of use. The addition of a ReACT mobile application allows users to enjoy the functionality of ReACT with the portability of a mobile app, available for iOS and Android. Users can update their profiles, reset, and unlock their system accounts from the app.
ReACT is continually being further developed with new versions regularly being released. The ReACT support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
