Naples, FL – October 2016
Advanced Software Product Group, Inc. (ASPG) has released version 5.0 of its enterprise self-service password reset and synchronization solution, ReACT. Version 5.0 of ReACT presents extensive design and behavioral enhancements geared toward improving the administrative experience, including product configuration and implementation as well as monitoring and reporting functionalities. As with prior releases, ReACT v5.0 remains ahead of the security curve by introducing greater controls over user access controls, more in-depth password complexity policies, and an improved wild card password dictionary feature.
The most sweeping feature in ReACT v5.0 is the replacement of the former Admin Tool with the ReACT Admin Portal. The Admin Portal is a streamlined interface that enables ReACT Administrators to configure their environment exactly as desired. While previous versions of ReACT defined end users by a global setting, the new Admin Portal defines end users by security groups. Through this change, ReACT v5.0 allows for a much more flexible and customizable experience for ReACT Administrators when establishing proper end user access controls. Adding to the customized experience are additional end user information options when creating and importing end users, including SMS, e-mail, account associations, and additional notifications.
Other administrator centric functionalities incorporated into v5.0 are the sorting, filtering, and reporting capabilities. Located in the Admin Portal, the sorting, filtering, and reporting features provide an incredibly in-depth view of end users paired with easy to execute functionality commands such as the cloning, deletion, and association of end users. Compared to previous releases of ReACT, ReACT v5.0 can sort and filter systems by system accounts and/or by ReACT IDs as well as drill down by searching within a search, honing in on specific end users, system accounts, or security groups when generating reports. Through its capability of searching through activity logs rather than merely scrolling, ReACT v5.0 provides the Administrator the ability to truly data mine, allowing for a secure and insightful experience.
As part of your identity management protocol, ReACT helps close the security exposures opened by a forgotten password. It securely authenticates user requests for a password reset and then establishes a permanent, immediately usable password on all affected systems. With the release of v5.0, ReACT now allows authentication through the Help Desk Portal to occur via challenge questions, e-mail, or SMS, while also permitting end users to utilize e-mail and SMS when recalling challenge questions. The Self-Service Portal also received upgrades, implementing authentication validation. These upgrades increase the security of the organization and its end users while also allowing end users greater versatility of use.
ReACT is an actively supported product, receiving constant updates and improvements. ASPG adheres to a continuous development cycle and a schedule of frequent releases, and their support team is available 24 hours, every day of the year. Interested parties may read more about the ReACT password reset software on the ASPG website. Free trials of the software are also available.
